May I suggest that it is time to look into the future, towards what is about to 'be' AND into a 'fusion' of the past and the future in an effort to refresh our view of the world and make it new as well?
Sounds like a tall order, doesn't it? And it is, but it's not as tall as the receipt of the gift of love of Christmas and the gift of the breath of life for another moment, another year! And that love and life is freely given over to 'our choice' by the One who chooses to create us and love us without end!
So can we grow into these 'tall orders'? Can we grow into the future, and an integrated view of the future, present and past with new perspectives of all three? Will this growth inform our choices as we utilize and care for the great gifts of heavenly love and breath of life? Yes and No! Let's tackle the 'No' first.
The 'no' is about our limits. No matter how much we grow, we cannot manhandle a full understanding of the 'very much' on our own. We can gain more understanding when we work together and cooperate rather than compete. But we are still limited by the sheer enormity of the task. But don't be discouraged! Remember, you don't need to know why the fish decided to take the bait on your line as long as it's on the hook to enjoy fishing! You just need to know the basics of fishing to enjoy it and to even catch a fish.
The 'yes', we are created in such a way that we can grow, learn, and adapt with and into an ever changing world! We can 'unlearn' or refresh what we know as we gain a more complete understanding of everything from God's love to why each snowflake takes on a different shape. As we grow in all ways towards the full measure of what God created in us and about us, we are, likewise, enabled to also make choices about the direction of our lives and our world that are more akin to God's intent. And, for me this is the neat part -- from this school, we do not need to graduate or be concerned about a grade. But we do need to participate is we promise to honor and live the loving gifts of the Creator. And there are many ways to do this! From time to time, I may share with you some that have been helpful to me and those I know. I hope they may help you and yours too.
Here is the first way. It's a website with this address: www.thekidsshouldseethis.com The site has video clips about music, art, science, DIY learning projects, animation, technology, food, animals and more. I frequent the site regularly, so it is for 'kids' of all ages. If you have any questions, ask me or contact me. I'd love to share some favorites of mine with you. Learn, love and live with and in the Spirit of the Most High and know life -- ABUNDANTLY!
